Other Therapists and Mental Health Resources
For medication assessments, meds management, and accurate diagnosis of all sorts of mental health issues (including ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, sleep problems, bipolar disorder, and much more) I recommend George Glade, ARNP MC MN at 206.938.9580.
For a more holistic approach to health, including mental health matters, I recommend accupuncturist Dianna Dean, MTCM L.Ac at 206.380.2588.
For counseling on post-partum issues, including depression and sexuality, I recommend Chantay Jett, MA at 206.371.1497.
If your teenage daughter needs help, or you want some counseling on how to parent her, I recommend Dina Innominato, MA at 206.355.4894.
If the issue is caring for elderly parents, Lisa Mayfield is a great resource (she's at 206.660.3276).
For parents dealing with autism or Aspergers, I am amazed by Graydon Agar (email: behaveinc@aol.com - phone: 813.240.8779). He's local, despite the wierd phone number.
If money is an issue, the best low-cost resource I know of is Samaritan Counseling Service at 206.527.2266 (ask for the clinic).
Sometimes you need a counselor who speaks another language too. If you need a counselor who speaks Russian or Ukrainian, try Vera Akulov, MA at 425-444-5902. If it's Cantonese you need, Wendy Lee, MS at 425.646.7363 is available. Need Swedish? Call Lou Dodson (south King County) at 253.929.1530 or Anna Goeke (Eastside) at 425.576.1804. For French, there's Claire Greenhill at 206.658.5374. For other languages, check out Counseling Seattle's Language page.
